Laveta Mead is a lecturer at the Mico University College who specialises in the teaching of Literature. She holds a Master of Philosophy in Literatures in English from the University of the West Indies, Mona. Her research interests include: identity, critical race theory, technology in education, and strategies for teaching boys. Miss Mead is also author of several poems which have been published in the Jamaica Gleaner.
