Paola Palma is a full time instructor at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, where she teaches Spanish in the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics. She has previously taught at Cave Hill campus and has also served as Foreign Language Editor for the Caribbean Examination Council, hence her interest in the status of Spanish as a foreign language in the Caribbean. Her research interests include the use of technology in foreign language teaching, the design of teaching materials for online courses and developing reading comprehension and writing competence in the foreign language.
