Wendy S. Richards, Ph. D. is a professor at the University of Northwestern in St. Paul, where she serves as the Elementary Education Program Coordinator and teaches Children's Literature, Reading Methods and Professional Development Seminars as well as supervises students in their field placements.  She earned her degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Minnesota,focusing on literacy, children's literature and diversity.
