Yewande Lewis-Fokum is a lecturer at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus in the areas of Language and Literacy.  Her research interests include the teaching of English literacy in a Creole-speaking environment, teacher training, and issues of language and power in society using Critical Discourse Analysis as both a theory and a methodology.
