Dr. Zoyah Kinkead-Clark, is a lecturer and researcher in early childhood education at the University of the West Indies, Mona. She is keenly interested in how children are shaped by their experiences in the home and how educators build on these in the classroom. A kindergarten teacher for several years, her current research focus is aimed at exploring how children in the early years, particularly those from low resources regions, can be provided with greater opportunities to successfully meander the crucial first five years of life, especially in light of the significant challenges many of them may face.
