Nikala Robinson serves as the Short Courses Coordinator in the Professional Development Unit at The University of the West Indies, Mona – Western Jamaica Campus.

In this capacity, she coordinates the planning, implementation and administration of professional development short courses designed to strengthen workforce competencies, support lifelong learning and provide accessible opportunities for professional and career advancement.

Her responsibilities include programme coordination, participant engagement, stakeholder relations, facilitator liaison, course scheduling, registration processes and the coordination of online learning activities. She also supports institutional outreach and partnerships with organisations seeking professional development opportunities for their employees.

With a professional background in information technology and experience in teaching Computer Applications, Ms. Robinson brings a combination of technical expertise, administrative coordination and instructional support to her role. Her experience includes supporting digital learning environments, educational technologies and technology-enabled administrative processes.

She is particularly interested in the intersection of education, technology, workforce development and professional learning, with an emphasis on creating practical learning opportunities that respond to the evolving needs of individuals, organisations and communities.
