Medical Sciences

B. Sc. Medicine and Surgery (MBBS): The MBBS programme is a medical undergraduate programme providing a broad education for the study of health and disease. In addition to the training, students experience university life and the beginnings of professional development in preparation for a career in medicine.

Normal Matriculation (Full-time)

1. AT LEAST five(5) CXC/CSEC subjects (general proficiency) Grades I-III or the equivalent, including Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English Language and Mathematics AND 2. AT LEAST three (3) CAPE subjects (both units) /three (3) A-levels including Biology, Physics (or Mathematics) and any other subject(s) This programme is only offered full-time. B. Sc. Nursing (Generic): candidates successfully completing this BScN programme will be eligible to apply to sit the Regional Examination for Nurse Registration (RENR). This will enable the individual to practice nursing in Jamaica and other CARICOM countries.
