M11 is mandatory if your final grade is less than 45% and you did not pass the course work. The MLEX stream is for students who have failed the theory, but passed the laboratory component of a course.  M11 and MLEX require students to attend revision lectures and do the course assessment. With the MEX stream, students sit the final examination only.
