OPEN TO:
Incoming Second and Incoming Final year UWI Students Who Complete At Least All Computing First-Year Courses (i.e. COMP1126, COMP1127, COMP1161, COMP1210 or equivalent MATH1152 & COMP1220)
JOB TYPE: Part-time (max 8-12 hours per week) Blended mode

DUTIES: Main duties of Lab Assistants:

• Supervision of assigned lab sessions
• Maintenance of computers to ensure their availability for students.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting in case of malfunctioning of hardware and software for the purpose of determining appropriate actions for maintaining computer lab operations.
• Conducting workshops for students on the use of the operating systems (Windows, Linux) and software (e.g., Java related platforms, Python, etc) used in the lab.
• Assisting students with their programming assignments.
• To be able to provide assistance for multimedia purposes in completion of lecture/lab activities.

TRAINING:    
Successful applicants are expected to make themselves available for initial training sessions throughout the month of September and will receive On-The-Job training thereafter.
