The Centre for Biosecurity Studies, UWI Cave Hill Campus, is pleased to announce an exciting, new collaboration with the Caribbean-Florida Water Science Center of the United States Geological Survey (USGS).This will take the form of a Webinar event on Wednesday, April21st 2021 at 1:00pm (EST/AST).Join us via Zoom as we host a special one-hour feature on the Climate Change-related science underway at this USGS Center, where we will sit one-on-one with Dr. David Sumner, Center Director, to discuss shared experiences, cutting edge applied research, and opportunities to build out mutual networks of scientists, academics and practitioners throughout the Caribbean archipelago.

This Webinar programme is a direct follow-up to the January 2021 edition of our Quarterly Lecture Series which addressed assorted Caribbean Climate Change phenomena. It offers a platform for the region’s climate specialists to engage with the regional efforts of the USGS with a view to identifying common focal areas and leveraging opportunities for collaboration between climate scientists and related experts in Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and those living and working throughout the Eastern and Southern Caribbean.
