The International Monetary Fund considers Jamaica to be among the "20 countries most vulnerable to natural disasters," and due tothe increasing frequency and severity of natural disasters, it places Jamaica at increased risk to perilous positions. Because of the damaging effects of climate change in Jamaica, climate resilience is critical to protect against and predict some of the disasters that will inevitably occur.
