Undergraduate

The Department of Economics offers undergraduate programmes that provide students with a strong foundation in economic reasoning, quantitative analysis, and practical problem-solving skills. Our programmes are designed to help students understand how individuals, institutions, and markets make decisions under conditions of limited resources, while also developing the ability to analyse data and apply statistical and economic tools to real-world issues. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, evidence-based decision-making, and policy-relevant analysis, particularly within the Caribbean context. Graduates are well prepared for a wide range of careers in the public and private sectors, as well as for postgraduate study across economics, finance, statistics, and related disciplines.
