As hepatocellular carcinoma progresses, T-lymphocytes, natural killer cells, B lymphocytes, Mφ and GrB-expressing cells decrease. This indicates that these cells may be important markers of prognosis.
In our small study, patients with carotid artery stent placement who
received dual antiplatelet therapy had a significant reduction in gastrointestinal
bleeding with omeprazole use when compared to those
without omeprazole. There was also no effect of concomitant use of
omeprazole and clopidogrel on antiplatelet inhibition.
ABSTRACT
Background: Recent concerns have been raised about the potential for proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) to blunt the efficacy of clopidogrel. We observed the effect of clopidogrel plus aspirin with or without omeprazole in patients with carotid stenoses after they received placement of carotid stents.
