Synopsis:
Pulmonary complications are among the most frequent
causes of morbidity and mortality in tracheo-oesophageal
malformations. Pulmonary complaints developing
in patients with oesophageal atresia and
persisting until adolescence may be attributed to delayed
maturation of pulmonary parenchyma.
