This study estimated the prevalence of diabetic foot complications
among patients of a specialist diabetes clinic in
Jamaica and evaluated factors associated with foot complications.
Approximately one of every eight patients had
a major foot complication (amputation, ulcer or infection).
Associated factors were neuropathy, high blood
pressure and longer duration of diabetes.
