This study evaluated the antibacterial activity of Glycyrrhiza glabra roots extract was evaluated against several food-borne bacterial pathogens. Results show that the aqueous extract was more effective than the others; while, among the tested bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were the most sensitive and the most resistant, respectively.
Among clinic attendees the most popular perceived methods for promoting tobacco cessation were joining a Tobacco Cessation clinic (n=23), followed by Quitting on your own (n=13) and seeing a Physician (n=8). Willpower (n=11) was cited as the most common method that assisted in smoking cessation.

In the current investigation, we have made an effort to scientifically validate Gymnosporea royleana's traditional use in various pathological conditions such as antimicrobial, antidiabetic, antioxidant, anticancer and haemagglutination, which could be attributed to the phenolic content of the extract.
This pharmacist evaluative research study (PHARMERS) sought to empower pharmacists to assist in the management of poorly-controlled, diabetic patients. We hoped to demonstrate that patients stand a better chance of achieving improved glycaemic control if closely monitored by a pharmacist.

In impaired glucose tolerance patients, administration of linagliptin during three months decreased glucose levels at 90 and 120 minutes after a 75-g oral dextrose load and area under the curve of glucose, meanwhile metformin just decreased insulin at 0 minutes.

The present study was designed to evaluate the relationship between HBV infection and type 2 diabetes mellitus first time from Pakistan and found that HBV infection did not enhance the risk of diabetes despite the significant differences in the biochemical parameters among the study's sample.

This study was aimed to determine the possible therapeutic effects of tadalafil, a specific PDE5 inhibitor, on renal fibrosis induced by unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO). Our results suggested that tadalafil treatment ameliorated renal fibrosis by reducing TGF-β expression and might have important clinical relevance since tadalafil is currently used clinically to treat erectile dysfunction and pulmonary hypertension.
