The Faculty of Science and Technology, The University of the West Indies, Mona extends congratulations to Dr. Sarah Buckland, who was among the recipients of the 2024 American Meteorological Society (AMS) Editor's Award for her work as a reviewer for the AMS journal, "Weather, Climate, and Society". She have been serving as a reviewer since 2019.
Dr. Buckland was recognised at the AMS's 104th Annual Meeting in Baltimore from January 28 to February 1, 2024. The Editor's Award recognizes excellence in reviewer service, acknowledging the crucial role played by a large segment of the scientific community who contribute time and painstaking effort anonymously, essential to maintaining the high quality of AMS's publications.
Dr. Buckland is a member of the Climate Studies Group Mona and an alumna of the Department of Geography and Geology, Faculty of Science and Technology, The UWI Mona.
