Did You Know? - Earthquake Unit - Release 15

The Earthquake Unit, U.W.I, recorded over 70 aftershocks to date following the 2021 earthquake in Haiti. Aftershocks are smaller magnitude earthquakes that can occur after the main shock. This seismic activity can continue to occur days to years after the principal earthquake in the same general area. The magnitude 7.3 Haiti earthquake in 2021 occurred at approximately 7:29 am on August 14th, 2021 and was reported as felt across different sections of Jamaica.
