The Faculty of Science and Technology remembers and salutes Mr. Errol Rickman for his pioneering contribution to the science of astronomy locally. The Faculty and, in particular, the Department of Physics enjoyed a good relationship with Mr. Rickman through his participation in and leadership of the Astronomical Association of Jamaica (AAJ). Students continue to benefit today from the links forged between the AAJ and the undergraduate Physics Astronomy course, in part due to the efforts of Mr. Rickman. The AAJ continues to meet monthly in the Department of Physics. FST salutes this science pioneer.
