Ms Jhannel Tomlinson, PhD candidate in the Department of Geography and Geology was honoured on November 30, 2019 at the Annual Prime Minister’s Youth Awards. She received the Prime Minister's Youth Award for Environmental Protection. Jhannel is an outstanding youth advocate for climate change action and coordinates the Jamaica chapter of the Caribbean Youth Environment Network (CYEN). Also awarded at the ceremony was Rickardo Anderson who was awarded for Excellence in Academics. He completed a BSc majoring in Medical Physics, with first class honours.  Well done Jhannel and Rickardo.
