UWI Mona Chess Team Claims Top Spot at the National Intercollegiate Chess Championships 2025

The University of the West Indies (The UWI) Mona Chess Team has once again demonstrated their exceptional skills, securing the top position at the National Intercollegiate Chess Championships 2025. The competition, held from January 1 to February 2, 2025, saw the team showcasing their strategic prowess in what is often described as the "science of strategy." Chess requires critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to predict and plan for various outcomes—skills that The UWI Mona team applied flawlessly throughout the event.

The Faculty of Science and Technology extends heartfelt congratulations to the following students for their outstanding performance as members of the winning  team:
