We take this opportunity to extend an invitation to you and members of your academic community to join the upcoming “The Professor Speaks” lecture series which provides an opportunity for faculty members or collaborators at the rank of Professor to speak on a topic of national, regional and international importance. In celebration of the UWI 75th Anniversary, the second staging of “Let the Research Speak for Itself: Celebrating the Accomplishments of Female Professors and Senior Female Academics in the UK, USA and the Caribbean_Part 2.” The lecture will be hosted on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 11:00 am (JA time) /5 pm (UK time).
The event will inform global audiences of black female research interests and research areas and the pioneering work of black academics, at professorial, senior research leadership levels in the UK, Africa and the Caribbean. This event aims to address prevalent issues confronting black academics by providing a safe space for them to present successful academic work, reflect on their current career approaches, and re-engineer career plans for maximum impact.
