A Student & Academic Engagement Session is coming to UWI Mona this Thursday, March 12, 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Dive into the world of maritime archaeology with presentations on Jamaica's underwater heritage (including Port Royal!), an expert dialogue on careers & internships in heritage protection, and hands-on student engagement with international specialists.

Organised by UNESCO Regional Office for the Caribbean in partnership with UWI, the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment & Sport, the Maritime Archaeology Trust, and more — as part of the Ocean Literacy Campaign Against Pillaging and Treasure Hunting on Underwater Cultural Heritage.
