The ‘Field Trip Natural Products (Ja) Limited Research and Development Laboratory’ was formally launched on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. The Lab, located in the Faculty of Science and Technology at the UWI Mona, is the world’s first legal research and cultivation facility dedicated exclusively to psilocybin-producing mushrooms and other plant-based psychedelics. The lab is the latest outworking of a partnership between the West Indies (UWI), Mona, and the Canadian company Field Trip Ventures Inc.
