The University of the West Indies, Departments of Chemistry (Mona, St. Augustine) and Department of Biological and Chemical Sciences (Cave Hill) will be hosting a virtual IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast (GWB2024) to be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 7:00AM (EST). The session is expected to run for 90 minutes.
The theme for our GWB event this year is “Caribbean women: Catalyzing Diversity in Science”. We will have a panel of accomplished women chemists who will share their journey, as well as their experiences and thoughts surrounding diversity in science.
Panelists include: Jeanese Badenock (UWI Cave Hill, Barbados) Lesley-Ann Giddings (Smith College, USA) Marvadeen Singh-Wilmot (UWI Mona, Jamaica) Camille Stracha-Mills (Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines, USA)
The session will be moderated by Dr Rachael Wyse-Mason (Lecturer, UWI St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago).
