Dr. Marvadeen Singh-Wilmot (Dept. of Chemistry) has been invited to serve on the TWAS (The World Academy of Sciences) Working Group on Refugees and Displaced Scientists (RDs). The Working Group will guide a campaign to support and protect scientists who become RDs due to international conflict, violence and climate change. Specifically she will serve as a part of the "Regional Outreach and Mapping" group which will focus on developing a survey tool to map organisations, programs, and entities that provide opportunities e.g. scholarships and assistance, to RDs. The project is a joint initiative of TWAS, the Indian Academy of Science (IAS) and the International Science Council (ISC).
