FST Acknowledges its Lecturers on Teachers’ Day

On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, the Faculty of Science and Technology celebrated its academic members of staff. In offering greetings, Dean, Professor Michael Taylor thanked the team for its hard work and collective commitment especially “given what we have all gone through since March 2020.” “The circumstance of the pandemic” he noted “has caused us as educators and teachers to have to pivot in ways that we perhaps never anticipated.” The Dean thanked FST staff for their efforts to ensure The UWI remains the best at what it does. Acknowledgement and appreciation also came from Pro Vice Chancellor and Campus Principal, Prof. Dale Webber, and President Elect of the Guild of Students, Miss Danielle Mullings. Feedback from staff suggests that the effort by the Faculty Office to recognize them was well received with some indicating that this was the first time in their recollection they were being acknowledged in this way. FST Lecturers also received a small token of appreciation from the Faculty.
