Dr. Nicolas McMorris, Deputy Dean in the Faculty of Engineering made a presentation to Ms. Tyshona Hewitt who was the recipient of the inaugural Michael Neville McMorris Prize. Dr. M. N. McMorris was a former Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology and former Head of the Physics Department who passed in 2018. The Prize is named in his honour and will be awarded annually to an outstanding undergraduate physics student.  Ms Hewitt is a final year student in the Department of Physics pursuing a major in Energy and Environmental Physics.
