UWI Science Research featured on “Fighting COVID-19: Science in Action” - Series 3

On August 19, 2020, the Faculty of Science and Technology hosted the third series (finale) for the virtual forum entitled: “Fighting COVID-19: Science in Action”. The forum was moderated by Dr. Marvadeen Singh-Wilmot (Department of Chemistry) and detailed how science, and in particular UWI science, is helping our region in the fight against COVID-19. The forum highlighted the importance of international cooperation through Commonwealth Chemistry while dissecting the connection between 5G and COVID-19, and the contribution of students in tackling this pandemic. The forum also gave insight on healthcare and education in the post-COVID era. The forum has been viewed over 450 times since it was first aired.
