Vice Chancellor addresses “Science for a Sustainable Future”

In a 20 minute keynote at the recently concluded Commonwealth Science Conference 2021, Vice Chancellor Sir Hilary Beckles addresses the question of “Science for a Sustainable Future”. In his keynote he uses a historical lens to examine the relationship between science, sustainability and resilience in the Caribbean. Commonwealth Science Conference 2021 was jointly hosted (virtually) by the Royal Society (UK) and the African Academy of Sciences from February 22-26, 2021. The Caribbean and The UWI were well represented amongst participants and presenters and Prof. Michael Taylor served as a member of the conference Steering Committee.
