LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER IN COMMUNITY HEALTH & PSYCHIATRY – HEALTH PROMOTION

The successful candidate will be required to:
• Teach, research and participate in the strategic planning and management of teaching and learning, including curricula development programmes within the Department and wider Faculty;.
• Develop high quality teaching and learning materials to support the delivery of Health Promotion & Health Communication modules/programmes;
• Coordinate clerkships in the undergraduate programme;
• Deliver innovative teaching, learning and assessment strategies that enhance the student learning experience to students on health promotion and public health-related modules and other courses;
• Develop strong research programme in area of specialization;
• Contribute to the life of the university and advance teaching, research and community outreach.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum of a post graduate degree in Health Promotion or Behaviour Change Communication
• Knowledge of and proven ability to deliver Health Promotion and/ or Health Communication curriculum successfully
• Demonstrated scholarly research;
• Experience of teaching in the related areas at the tertiary level.
Candidates who possess the following will be at a distinct advantage:
• Administrative experience within an academic institution;
• Exposure to different areas in Public Health with a blend in Public Health practice, research and academia;
• Research in peer review journals;
• Experience teaching at the tertiary level;
• Ability to effectively interface with the Public Health Sector and other relevant stakeholders within the Caribbean Region.
