The Faculty of Engineering is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Electronics Engineering with a strong commitment to teaching and research. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum development, student supervision, and academic research in the field of Electronics Engineering.
The successful candidate will be required to:
 Teach and supervise students in the Faculty’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
 Develop new courses and programmes; and modify and upgrade course material on an ongoing basis.
 Conduct original, high quality scholarly research for publication in leading academic journals.
 Provide scholarly inputs into the Faculty’s outreach programmes.
 Develop grant proposals to support scholarly research.
 Participate in relevant university committees and boards.
 Contribute to the administrative and leadership processes in the Faculty, as required in support of its overall strategy.

Essential Qualifications And Experience:
 PhD/MSc in Computer Engineering/Electronics Engineering or a closely related field.
 Certificate in University Teaching or equivalent teaching certification.
 At least three (3) years of relevant teaching experience at the University level.
 Proven experience in laboratory instruction and development of practical course components.
 Demonstrated evidence of research activity and potential for publication in reputable academic journals.
 Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
 Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.

Candidates who possess the following will be at a distinct advantage:
 PhD in Computer Engineering/Electronics Engineering or a closely related field.
 Background in a subset of the following areas:  Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Internet of things, Embedded
Systems, Robotics, Industrial Automation; Telecommunications Systems, Computer Networks, Power
Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Monitoring, Power Analysis or any other related field.
 Strong research background with a record of peer-reviewed publications in relevant areas.
 Experience supervising MPhil/PhD students.
 Certificate in University Teaching or equivalent teaching certification.
 Experience developing engineering curricula and laboratory-based courses.
 Evidence of prior research grant acquisition and industry collaboration.
 Membership in relevant professional organizations.
