During the month of October 2022, MSBM staff members participated in a series of activities in commemoration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On October Friday, October 21 and October 28, staff wore pink to raise awareness, stand in solidarity with and show our support for the survivors. A special session was held on Friday October 28th which included a presentation from guest speaker Lovelette Fogoe, Breast Cancer Survivor. The event also included the offering of prizes for trivia questions related to the celebration as well as a special prize for the “Best Dressed in Pink.” Mr Errol Johnson (Handyman) won the coveted prize of a special gift basket.
The month’s activities also included a special display which was prepared and mounted in the Documentation Centre by our very own Jinelle Peart Librarian. The display included wellness tips as well as stories from survivors.
Together we are stronger, join the fight, one step at a time!
