After a two-year hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) and Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) will host the seventh staging of the annual National Business Model Competition (NBMC) on  April 7-8, 2022  online. 

A total of 15 teams from five universities across the island will vie for bragging rights and cash prizes totalling J$4 million. The participating teams include four from the University of the West Indies (UWI) four from the University of Technology Jamaica (UTECH), two from the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, two from CASE, and three from UCC.

Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM) through the Vincent HoSang Entrepreneurship Programme led the coordination of UWI’s participation in the competition, providing the teams with mentorship, training and support.
