Oldane Graham and the team of Howard and Taylor captured top prizes in the inaugural NCB Capital Markets sponsored Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM) Student Investment Challenge last Tuesday.

The competition was the MSBM’s effort to give postgraduate and undergraduate students practical experience to the theory taught in class.

What have been some highlights of the school's 30 years of existence?

For the second time since the inception of the National Business Model Competition (NBMC), a total of five local university teams, including this year’s national competition winner Ja Bio Plastics, will travel to Utah, United States, to defend Jamaica’s global championship and compete in the International Business Model Competition (IBMC) to be held between May 9 and 10.

Application is now open for the 2019/2020 JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation scholarship programme. For the upcoming academic year, the foundation is expected to disburse up to $8 million in scholarships to mainly tertiary students.

Financial assistance will also be given to students at the primary and secondary level, on a case-by-case basis.

Tributes are continuing in memory of former University of the West Indies (UWI) vice-chancellor Sir Alister McIntyre. 

Sir Alister, who was also a former CARICOM secretary general, died yesterday.
