As part of its advocacy role, Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM) will host a Virtual Public Forum under the theme “Equity for Local Investors in Jamaica” which will explore the treatment of local versus foreign investors in Jamaica's stock market. The Forum will take the format of a series of short presentations followed by a question and answer session led by a moderator.

It can be argued that there seems to be a discriminatory taxation treatment of local vs. foreign investors that penalizes the local, even at the Government policy levels. As a result, this has called into question, ‘Why should a Jamaican invest in the Local Stock Market?’

At this Forum, a high level team of panellists will explore the topic thourgh various lens. We look forward to having you join us.
