Tracey-Ann E. Coley is a Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist and full-time lecturer with the Psychology Unit in the department of Sociology, Psychology and Social Work, Mona campus. Her responsibilities include teaching in the undergraduate and graduate Psychology programmes offered through the department. She also lecturers in the Adolescent Mental Health Diploma programme offered through the Medical Sciences department. Dr. Coley’s research interests include the efficacy of psychotherapy, adolescent self-harm and the interface between learning challenges and emotional dysfunction. She organizes partnerships within the Jamaican and larger Caribbean community to help expand opportunities for Masters level practicum students in the programme. In addition, Dr. Coley operates a private practice in Kingston, Jamaica. Her areas of clinical focus include psychotherapy with adults and adolescents with a variety of issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and academic challenges. Dr. Coley has also served on public and private non-profit boards including the National Parenting Support Commission (NPSC).
