Yvette J. Rowe is an award winning media producer and researcher. Now an adjunct lecturer in Television Production and Broadcast Journalism at the Caribbean School of Media and Communication (CARIMAC) at The University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona Campus, where she taught for over 20 years. Her extensive experience in media production informs her teaching and research and comes from work in Jamaica, the Caribbean and the United Kingdom and assignments internationally for entities such as the British Broadcasting Corporation, and the former Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation. Production roles have included as producer, director, presenter and cameraperson and editor. An honorary research fellow her areas of focus include television programming, production, Caribbean broadcast journalism, technology and the impact on media, consumption, teaching and production. With Livingston White she is co-author of the book Still on Air Producing Television in Small Markets.
