A practical introduction to the core mathematics required for engineering study and practice. Students will be lead through basic geometry, algebra and pre-calculus to an introduction to calculus, and will cover topics in algebra ranging from polynomial, rational, and exponential functions to conic sections.  Trigonometry concepts such as Law of Sines and Cosines will be introduced. An introduction to probability and statistics is also be included. The mathematical theories will be explained in a straightforward manner, being supported by practical engineering examples and applications.
