Dr Jean Williams-Johnson, Deputy Dean of Graduate Studies, Senior Lecturer in Emergency Medicine

  I am interested in the gamut of the specialty Emergency Medicine.  My research activity has focused on the problems of the elderly, toxicology, patients with sickle cell disease and hypertension in the Emergency Department.  I teach at both the undergraduate and post graduate level and my desire to be a good educator led me to pursue the Diploma in Medical Education,  University of Dundee.

Collaboration with Department of Emergency Medicine, Wayne State University, USA led to the establishment of an MOU with the UWI Mona. This collaboration has facilitated residents and faculty participating in online and face to face educational and research opportunities at that institution.
