We describe two cases of lateral medullary syndrome at the University Hospital of the West Indies,
Mona, Jamaica. This diagnosis is often missed and not well understood, so we will discuss the
underlying pathophysiology.
Our 7 faculties and 12 professional schools offer more than 200 programmes to some 18,000 graduate, undergraduate and continuing studies students.
