Which Factors are Predictive for the Presence of Insulin Resistance in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis?

Synopsis: 
We investigated obesity and insulin resistance and associated factors in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Cumulative steroid dose, the presence of obesity and disease activity, were the best predictors for insulin resistance. Disease modifying antirheumatic drugs may help to reduce insulin resistance.

Aims: The aim of this study was to investigate of obesity and insulin resistance and associated factors in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
