Vitamins A, D and E in Primary Immunodeficiencies

Synopsis: 
This study showed that primary immunodeficiency patients have low serum levels of vitamins A and E, and serum vitamin A levels were positively correlated with decreased IgG levels. Vitamin D levels were not different between patients and healthy controls.

ABSTRACT

Background: A,D and E vitamins have a very important role in humoral and cellular immunity.

Objective: The aim of this study was to compare serum levels of these vitamins in patients with various Primary immunodeficiency diseases (PIDs) and healthy controls.
