The most frequent pathogens encountered in juvenile periodontitis were different from what has been previously documented by other authors. Antimicrobial treatment of juvenile periodontitis should be based on the result obtained from microbiological investigations.

Juvenile Polyposis Syndrome should be considered in young patients with colonic symptoms, especially rectal bleeding.
