FST Alum gives back with Math Scholarship

Starting in 2020 FST students pursuing a B.Sc degree with a major in Mathematics or Actuarial Science will have the opportunity to apply for the Norbert Fullerton Actuarial Scholarship. The person behind the scholarship is Norbert Fullerton - an FST Mathematics Alumni (class of ‘93)– who is currently Head of Institutional Client Strategy, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) for Janus Henderson Investments.  In this capacity he is responsible for the thought leadership, strategic investment solutions and initiatives to their institutional clients in the EMEA regions. Janus Henderson manages over US$ 300 billion in assets globally. Importantly, Mr Fullerton is a proud UWI graduate who says of his UWI experience “I’ve established this scholarship primarily to recognise the incredibly positive impact that the UWI had on my education, and social and spiritual development. I’m humbled and pleased to be in a position to help others undergoing maths, or actuarial, study to pursue their dreams to become an actuary. The scholarship is intended to be an annual award to a UWI maths, or actuarial, student who demonstrates a strong track record of accomplishment, leadership skills and commitment to becoming an actuary.” The FST is proud of Mr. Fullerton’s achievement and grateful not only for his philanthropy but the example he is setting for others to do likewise.
