In the Faculty of Humanities and Education, we take pride in a humanistic approach to teaching and learning. We are concerned with the whole person and strive to create a physical and psychological environment that enhances the student's University experience. Our programmes and courses are vitally relevant to the world you inhabit and you will be encouraged to apply the skill of critical thinking and analysis to the world beyond the classroom: to your community, the wider society and indeed, to your own personal experiences.
Our 7 faculties and 12 professional schools offer more than 200 programmes to some 18,000 graduate, undergraduate and continuing studies students.
The UWI, Mona ranks first in Jamaica among accredited tertiary-level programmes. In 2012, the University was again one of Jamaica’s Top 100 Employers.
