PATH BURSARY - The list of students expected to receive the PATH bursary from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security for the 2025/2026 academic year has been received. All students approved by PATH and owing JMD150,000 or less on their tuition will receive temporary financial clearance to facilitate mid-semester, until the process is complete.
Through the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education (PATH) awards bursaries to students from PATH households who are currently enrolled in a tertiary institution. The process to apply for the bursaries is as follows:
- PATH is advertised to all UWI students through the Banner system and on the OSF website
- The value of the Bursary as of March 2026 is JMD150,000.00
- First to fourth year students should submit their application to the OSF by the stipulated deadline
- The application form is available on the OSF website for the entire year however the completed form will only be collected by the OSF staff August to September each year unless otherwise directed by the Ministry of Labour.
- All year one (1) students are eligible to apply as long as they benefitted from PATH in high school
- For continuing UWI students - Only students with a 2.50 Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) or higher (for the previous academic year) are eligible to apply
- The form must be properly completed to include the Family number and date of birth of each student
- DO NOT USE FAMILY MEMEBERS PATH NUMBER UNLESS YOU ARE REGISTERED IN THEIR HOUSEHOLD and DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU MEET THE CRITERIA
Application forms for the 2025/2026 academic year are no longer being accepted.
Students must include their ID NUMBERS on the form
