Eligibility:

The award is available to Jamaican Nationals who are:

registered, full time undergraduate students in the Faculty of Science & Technology
pursuing studies in Biochemistry
entering second year or third year

Criteria:

The award will be based on:

Academic performance based on the results of the previous year University examinations (minimum GPA of 3.5);
Demonstrate leadership qualities, volunteerism and social involvement.

Method of Selection:

Shortlisted candidates shall be interviewed by a panel comprising personnel from the University and the Donor organization.

Condition:

The selected candidate is expected to complete 24 hours of voluntary seervice with the National Baking Company. In addition, the selected candidate will be expected to complete four weeks summer intenship with National Baking Company.
