Qualifications & Experience: 

Mrs. McGowan-Hunter holds degrees in Curriculum and Instruction, Language Education, and Literatures in English from the University of the West Indies, Mona. She has over 20 years of experience at the different levels of the education system in Jamaica: the early childhood, primary, secondary, and tertiary level. Her experience includes service as board chairperson, mid-level management, and educator. Mrs. McGowan-Hunter joined the staff at the University of UWI, Mona in 2022 as Adjunct Lecturer in Curriculum and Instruction. She is currently an Assistant Lecturer in Curriculum and Instruction and serves as the Programme Coordinator for the Curriculum and Instruction Master’s in Education Programme and Faculty Advisor for the Association for Graduate Researchers in Education (AGRE).
