A whole year has passed and the University of the West Indies Mona claimed their bragging rights over the University of Technology as the best sporting institution of the two campuses. Now the competition is back on, the 2011/2012 academic year sees the second staging of the UWI vs UTECH Championship; with the stakes being raised, new sponsors on board and two additional competitions being added to the list, cheerleading and a soundclash, this year's event will turn out to be phenomenal!

UWI Mona Pelicans, on September the 17th, 2011 we urged you to come out in your red and white, chanting UWI, UWI, UWI all the way to the UTECH sporting grounds, so that when they hear the noise they know that the the Mona Pelicans are here to defend their title.
